This quick, simple dessert came about by chance the other evening when someone asked what was for dessert after I had been in the kitchen all day ( they were joking) what they wanted was a reaction, what they didn’t expect was a scrummy bowl of deliciousness!!!!! To be honest I didn’t expect it either! Had a quick look around my kitchen, had the usual over ripe bananas in the fruit bowl that would normally be made into a banana loaf, jar of Nutella and the mini marshmallows that float around on top of hot chocolate. Within minutes we were eating hot bananas with ice cream!!
Below isn’t a healthy dessert by any means but definitely an indulgent treat!!
Swapping ingredients can turn it in to one of your five a day, it would work well with a sprinkling of cinnamon and a drizzle of honey served with Greek yogurt and walnuts.
Peanut butter & chocolate chips would work too!!
- Bananas
- Nutella
- Marshmallows
Tin Foil to wrap the bananas in.
Method:
pre heat oven 200/gas6 fan 180
Place each unpeeled banana on a piece of tin foil big enough to loosely wrap, cut a slit with a sharp knife and put as much Nutella & as many marshmallows as you want!!scrunch the foil to seal the parcels. Place on a baking tray and bake in the oven for approx 15/20 mins.
When you open the parcels take care because they are very hot and gooey!!! All you need now is some lovely vanilla ice-cream. If you try any other combinations please let me know,I’ve already thought of a few more!!
Enjoy x
